Amidst the political permutations and chess games, divergent views, agitations and uncertainties that shrouded the political climate in Aniocha South, the immediate past Council Chairman of the local government, Pst Jude Chukwunwike has again made his intent to return to the council known.
Pst Jude officially made his intention public, shortly after a triumphant entry into the arena that had the PDP faithful, some party leaders, friends and well wishers that converged at the party secretariat, along Ubulu Uno road, Ogwashi Uku.
While appreciating the crowd, the immediate past chairman attributed the successes recorded in his first tenure to the supports he got from the electorates and reassured that he would continue from where he stopped if given the second chance.
Chief Chris Agbobu, a former Minister of Agric and some leaders from Nsukwa clan, Jude and Amaka deserve a joint return ticket to the council in 2024.
For Adanioma, one of the germane issues that has often been raised in some quarters which has to do with the same sibling occupying two statutory positions meant for the local government has become a thing of the past as she has sacrificed her position as the Commissioner for Technical Education.
According to her, and I quote, “We must always provide a platform for others to rise politically” end of quote.
Although, they are other aspirants who are also eyeing the same seat but who bears the party’s flag after the primary, will be determined by the leadership of the party in LGA, which must be in accordance with other indispensable stakeholders at the state level.
Only time shall tell who becomes what, when and how.
