An expert in election matters and the Secretary of the PDP National Campaign Council, Hon Pascal Nwaoranine Adigwe has predicted landslide victory for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the September 21, 2024 Edo State gubernatorial contest.
Hon Adigwe, who is also the deputy National Organizing Secretary of PDP noted that the people of Edo State are strongly in support of the PDP, owing to the massive achievements of Governor Godwin Obaseki administration on the platform of the opposition party.
The former House of Reps member, who spoke at various press interviews in Benin City, in preparatory for this Saturday’s Edo Guber election, explained that the only candidate and political party with the structure to win the upcoming election are Asue Ighodalo and the PDP, who he described as the “right peg in the right hole “
According to him, “From all analysis the people of Edo State are supporting PDP heavily. The PDP is doing very well in Edo State under Governor Obaseki especially because of the numerous developmental projects of the governor. All the PDP needs to do now is to come together and consolidate on the support. Once they are united, the PDP will take the APC to the cleaners in the forthcoming election.”
The former House of Reps member who has been DG of various campaigns in Delta, supretending over many election victories, said..
“Nobody wants to risk having the APC in Edo State. What is happening in Nigeria today under the leadership of the APC is a clear signal that Nigerians across the country have rejected APC.
“Today, Nigerians in all parts of the country are crying and dying of hunger; harsh economic policies, high cost of living, there are killings, kidnapping and banditry across the land. That is why there is agitYation bad governance and against the APC everywhere including Edo State”
The PDP Chieftain emphasized that other contenders are just mere pretenders, that lack the wherewithal to govern the state, adding that the only one viable candidate is that of the PDP Dr. Asuelimen Ighodalo, an accomplished lawyer who established one of the largest law firms in Africa, Banwo and Ighodalo, known for having the largest number of lawyers and paying some of the highest wages in the country and has successfully managed businesses, and provided pro bono advice and guidance to various governments.
The results oriented Pascal Adigwe, who has temporarily relocated to Benin City with other PDP Campaign Council members, doing what they are used to, appealed to all Edolites to support them secure a landslide victory for the PDP and Ighodalo, while urging the security agencies to ensure professionalism and uphold justice during and after the election.
