As suspense and intrigues surrounding who becomes the running mate to the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, unconfirmed sources at the National Headquarters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) said that the committee set up by the PDP to pick Atiku Abubakar’s running mate picked Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike, over Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State. According to the source, Governor Wike won by a whopping 16-3 votes and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa got only got 3 votes from the committee’s votes.
However, speaking to news men in Asaba, the Delta state commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagu, who expressed optimism towards the emergence of his boss, as the Vice Presidential Candidate of the PDP, said Senator Okowa has sacrificed a lot in reposition the part, adding that only “God could stop him”.
